Calling all youth hunters! Join us for an exciting hands-on hunting camp where young outdoors enthusiasts will learn javelina and small game hunting skills under the guidance of experienced mentors. This camp combines education, adventure, and fun in a safe and supportive environment.

๐ŸŽ’ What to Bring โ€“ Youth Hunting Camp Checklist

Clothing & Personal Gear:

  • Sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots

  • Weather-appropriate layers (cool mornings, warmer afternoons)

  • Hat & sunglasses

  • Rain jacket or windbreaker

  • Personal toiletries

Camping Gear:

  • Sleeping bag or bedding

  • Tent (if not provided)

  • Flashlight or headlamp + extra batteries

  • Camp chair (optional)

Hunting & Outdoor Essentials:

  • Hunting gear (appropriate firearm or bow, if applicable)

  • Hunting license / tag (if required)

  • Binoculars (optional)

  • Water bottle / hydration pack

  • Snacks (optional)

Other:

  • Personal medications or special items

  • Sunscreen & insect repellent

  • Notebook & pen (for learning and observations)

๐Ÿ“Œ Meals are provided throughout the camp. All mentoring, hunting, and outdoor instruction are included.


๐Ÿš— Directions to Camp (from Phoenix):

  1. Take I-17 North toward Flagstaff.

  2. Exit onto Carefree Highway (AZ-74) and head west.

  3. Turn right onto US-60 W toward Wickenburg.

    • At the first roundabout in Wickenburg, stay right.

  4. Merge onto US-93 N and drive 5.8 miles.

  5. Turn onto AZ-89 N (Congress) and continue through Congress.

  6. About 2 miles past Congress, turn left onto Date Creek Road.

    • Look for a rock painted like a frog at the turn! ๐Ÿธ

  7. Drive 15.3 miles on Date Creek Road, then turn left onto a dirt road.

  8. Camp entrance will be on the right-hand side.
