The Tres Rios Nature Festival is fast approaching on Saturday, February 22nd & Sunday February 23rd from 10am – 3pm each day. Due to damage from river flows at the Baseline & Meridian Wildlife Area (B&M), the Festival will be held at the large playground at Estrella Park at 14805 WEST VINEYARD AVENUE, GOODYEAR, AZ 85338.

Booth Volunteers will inform festival goers about our efforts with conservation and the joys of bird watching. They also play our bird matching game with children on the scavenger hunt.

Bird walk volunteers take small groups around the park looking for the local birds of the park. We will not have access to the river so the hikes will be restricted to the park and the desert trails to the south.

All Volunteers’ hours will be 9:30am to around 3pm. We will also be having early hikes again from 7:30am to 9:30am each morning.

We will need 4-5 folks for each position each day due to the numbers of folks at the event. Please sign-up—and bring a friend!— by calling and leaving a message or emailing. Once you have signed up, and I know details from City of Avondale, you will receive info on parking, where to meet, etc.
