Please join us for the Sedona Mountain Bike Festival – the Verde Valley Cyclists Coalition’s largest fund raiser of the year!

And, we have some new things lined up to make your volunteering hours more comfortable as well as new ways for members to participate in the festival.

In addition to the Beer Booth Token Sales, the VVCC will have two pop-ups next to the beer booth with snacks, refreshment and chairs for volunteers and members to hangout and relax.

At our two new pop-ups, we will also be offering to festival goers some new things:

“Local Intel”: a station where we will field questions about the trails, recommended routes, local restaurants, etc..

“Daily Strava Winners”: we’ll have a white board to record the name and Strava data of the festival goers that stop in to share their Strava statistics each day. The festival goer with the Most Distance Ridden and the festival goer with the Most Elevation Ridden will have their names posted on the white board. At 6pm each day, we’ll announce the daily winner(s) that will each receive 2 free beer tokens.

We will be hosting group rides at the Festival. Pam Milavec (8th @ 10am – women’s ride)Mike Coyen & Jan Schmidt (8th @ 10am), Cameron Wylde (9th @ 10am), Rachel Fussell & Tracy Randall (9th @ 10:30am – women’s ride), Lars Romig (10th @ 10am) have all signed up to lead group rides for the VVCC. If you have an interest in leading a group ride, contact tracylynnrandall@gmail.com or join in on one of these VVCC led rides.

Friday, March 8th @ 4pm there will be a WHIP OFF competition at the Dual Slalom. There will be a Cash Prize and support for VVCC via tips for whips. 50% donations/tips go to the WHIP OFF winners and 50% goes to VVCC MTB Advocacy. Don’t miss this NEW event.

And, SMBA has extended an invite to VVCC members to join in on 2 co-occurring women’s group rides on Sunday March 10th from 11am-1pm (and a free women’s fix at a flat clinic at 10:15am beforehand). SMBA’s schedule and details of the above can be found here.

Each volunteer shift earns you a free token to be redeemed at the beer garden and a free 2024 commemorative sticker! And, training will be provided, so no worries about what you’re supposed to do. We’ll ensure you are well supported!
