The route uses Slate, a portion of Flume, Quartz and Go John Trails for approximately 4.5 miles total. The terrain varies from even surfaces to portions that are uneven and rocky. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring snacks and plenty of water. Hiking poles are helpful. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center and Trailhead.
