Thanks to Sonoran Audubon Society’s own Donna Smith and Kathy Dashiell there’s a great route around Buckeye and Arlington, west of Phoenix, through agricultural fields that is reliable for burrowing owls and diurnal raptors, sparrows and common desert species, plus waterfowl at canals and farm ponds. This is a long morning, starting at 7am at a meeting spot to be determined just off the I-10 and wrapping up perhaps 1ish. Lunch plans to be determined. Mostly car birding. Limited to 7 participants. Please register with Kathe Anderson at Kathe.coot@cox.net . Registration will be open to Sonoran Audubon members exclusively until Nov 3. Difficulty 1. Meeting place and carpooling logistics will be determined a few days before the trip.
