We will be finishing up a continuous rail fence build in Leonard Canyon on the Mogollon Rim that we started last fall. We camp all weekend and feed you from Friday supper through Sunday breakfast. Join Kathe Anderson and other participants to travel to Christopher Creek, a hotspot for bird watching. Look for many species of migratory birds and woodpeckers around the creek. The walks are short, and participants are encouraged to bring binoculars and apply their birding skills.
Along the San Pedro River, there are 100 to 250 migratory and wintering bird species to look for. The bird walk lasts for 2 to 3 hours on terrain that varies from easy to difficult. No dogs are allowed, but bird watchers can bring binoculars. Call (520) 508-4445 or email fspr@sanpedroriver.org.
