Join us for a 9-part series where students learn about the 7 priorities to desert/wilderness survival. This survival skills class will cover the seven priorities of survival: Positive Mental Attitude, Wilderness First Aid, Shelter options, Fire, Signaling (including lost behavior), Water, and Food.
Some of the hands-on instruction that we will be doing includes creating a shelter (various kinds), wilderness first aid (caring for snake bite, bee stings, knife cuts, burns, etc), signaling (whistle and mirror), knot tieing (make a paracord bracelet), basic compass instruction/orienteering, fire (practice w/ a ferrocerium rod) and more!
