Join Maricopa County Natural Resource Manager Juanita Armstrong-Ullberg for an approximately 4-5-mile hike on the Go John trail, as well as around the Nature Center and the Native Seed Garden. We will be talking about the importance of native plants in restoring desert habitat that has been degraded due to things like wildfire, human use and overgrazing. We may even get the opportunity to observe as “seed bombs” are deployed in several areas along the route to facilitate the health and biodiversity of Cave Creek Regional Park. Trail is rated moderate-difficult, so expect areas of loose rock, uneven terrain and elevation change. Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Hats and sunscreen are highly recommended. No pets, please.

MEETING LOCATION: Front porch of Nature Center.

Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Visitor Center at 602-506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Visitor Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 7/26/23.
