Join Ranger Derik on a strenuous hike through the rugged White Tank mountains and look for unique plant species. Click on program title for more details.

Come on a strenuous 4.5-mile hike through the white tank mountains on the search for great views and the unique elephant trees that dot the hillsides. The trail is considered difficult and during our hike will gain 900ft of elevation. The hike will be several hours so please bring plenty of water (~3 liters) and a snack. The trail is
rocky, and steep is some sections, so it is recommended you wear hiking boots with good ankle support and if you have them trekking poles are not a bad idea. MEETING LOCATION: Goat Camp Trailhead; no restrooms at this trailhead.
Limit 12 participants. To register, please call the Whit Tank Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. #5 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on Monday, 4/24/23.
