Join friends!! Enjoy a healthy day outdoors! Come help with invasive vegetation removal as well as planting to attract birds, butterflies and other wildlife. Additional work includes clearing vegetation from the Nature Walk, removing trash from the grounds, and other park improvement tasks identified that day. Help your park stay beautiful and healthy!

The park depends on volunteers to keep our park beautiful and to maintain our park’s riparian features, bird habitat, Certified Wildlife Habitat certification, and Monarch Waystation designation. BHCP will provide water and a few light snacks.

  • Check in at 8:00 AM followed by short safety briefing. Work to begin by 8:30 AM.
  • Youth age 17 or younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Hand tools will be provided but you can bring your own. Cordless weed trimmers are also welcomed.
  • Wear your own work gloves.
  • Dress for outdoor work (sturdy shoes and, as needed, sunscreen, hat, etc.).
  • Desert Botanical Garden provides butterfly friendly plants.
  • BCHP will provide water and some snacks.
