Evan Waite – A Journey from Bugs to Birds
Evan Waite is aPh.D. candidate in evolutionary biology at Arizona State University. He hasalways considered himself a naturalist but only seriously took up birdingin October of 2021. After six years of higher education working with insects,he now spends a large portion of his free time with binoculars instead of amicroscope. He will be detailing the differences between his career work andhis new hobby and the challenges of doing both.
The Desert Rivers Audubon Society Monthly Speaker Series is now offered in person (Sept-Apr) and on Zoom (year-round) on the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m.
In-person meetings are at the Southeast Regional Library, 775 N Greenfield Rd, Gilbert at the corner of Greenfield and Guadalupe Roads. CDC advisories are observed.
