Join us for a fun and educational Beginner Fishing Clinic at the beautiful Lake Powell, hosted in partnership by the Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) and the National Park Service (NPS)! Perfect for young anglers and first-timers, this free, hands-on clinic will cover the basics of fishing—from casting and baiting hooks to fish identification and fishing safety. AZGFD biologists will be on-site to share their expertise, answer questions, and talk about the incredible fish species found in Lake Powell.

All equipment will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary—just bring your curiosity and a sense of adventure!

A valid Arizona Fishing License is required at all events, unless otherwise stated. Anyone 10-17 years old can purchase a youth combo license for only $5. Anyone 18 years and older can purchase either a short-term, a fishing or a combo license. To purchase a License, visit www.azgfd.gov/fishing and click on Fishing Licenses & Regulations.
