Are you looking to do a long hike, but can’t find anyone to go with you? Join Ranger Kevin for a 8.4-mile hike on the scenic Pemberton, Granite, Bluff, and Tonto Tank trails. We’ll keep an eye out for wildlife and springtime wildflowers as we go. Trail conditions are rated easy-moderate, so expect some stretches of loose rock, uneven terrain and elevation change. Please know your fitness level. If you’re not accustomed to hikes of this length, work up to this one by doing some of our shorter hikes. Please bring plenty of water (minimum three liters recommended), electrolytes, snacks, and wear sturdy, closed-toe footwear. Proper clothing (layers), sunscreen, and hat are strongly recommended. Trekking poles may be useful. Water and restrooms are available at the trailhead. Please, NO pets.

MEETING LOCATION: Trailhead Staging Area (at the end of Shallmo Dr.)

Limit 15 participants. To register, please email Ranger Kevin at Kevin.Thorson@maricopa.gov with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please email back ASAP so those on the waiting list may be contacted. Registration for this program will close on 2/17/24.
