Isabella Lee Natural Preserve
Registration for this trip is free. | Register here beginning March 12
Trip difficulty: Moderate. About 2 miles over soft terrain. No restrooms or water are available.
Isabella Lee Natural Preserve is a mesquite bosque along the Tanque Verde Wash. We will look for both returning residents and migrating songbirds as well as the usual desert birds in this area. Depending on water levels, we may see aquatic species as well. Wear hiking shoes and a sun hat and bring water. Take Tanque Verde Road east about .5 mile past Catalina Highway, and turn right onto Bonanza Road to the parking area at the end of the road. Bonanza is about .25 miles west of Houghton Road, if coming from that direction, turn left onto Bonanza from Tanque Verde. Wrap up around 10:00 am. Limited to 12 participants.
Leader: Laurel Salvador (laurelsalvador@yahoo.com) and Linda Hanson
