Bring your family to beautiful Lyman Lake State Park for a great beginner class on how to fish. All equipment will be provided.

This 4-hour event will cover how to set up your equipment, basic reel and tackle combos and instruction on how to catch and release your fish.

Lyman Lake State Park offers a variety of fish species to catch, ramadas, hiking trails, wildlife, great views and more. This event starts at the General Store and is taught by Ranger Donna. We will then move down to our cove area and begin the class. For more information on the park, visit:

Lyman Lake State Park was created as an irrigation reservoir by damming the Little Colorado River. It is a 1,200-acre park that encompasses the shoreline of a 1,500-acre reservoir at an elevation of 6,000 feet. The fishery consists of walleye, channel catfish and largemouth bass.
Lyman Lake really comes into its own during the spring, summer, and fall. Summer days, with temperature highs in the 80s to low 90s, are perfect for fishing, swimming, leisure boating, water-skiing, hiking or just relaxing.

This event is free to campers and a $10 day use fee for non-campers.

A valid Arizona Fishing License is required at all events, unless otherwise stated. Anyone 10-17 years old can purchase a youth hunting and fishing combo license. Anyone 18 years and older can purchase a fishing or a hunting and fishing combo license. To purchase a License, visit www.azgfd.gov.
