Beneath the open cottonwood-willow canopy, EXPLORE MORE trail adventures with Friends of the San Pedro River docents. Join us as we explore along the river and grassland trails within the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area and discover the secrets of the natural world. Best suited for older children and adults, this will be an easy to moderate walk of approximately 3 miles round-trip, with minimal elevation change. Seasonally, understory vegetation can be thick in areas along the trail, especially during the rainy season. We’ll have a 15-to-20-minute orientation and show-and-tell session before we begin our hike to the river. Be prepared with closed-toed hiking shoes, a hat, water, a hiking stick, insect repellent, and binoculars if you have them. Come and share our adventure!
