Join Ranger Nikki on an easy walk to look for and identify our desert feathered friends and signs of their homes.

Join Ranger Nikki for a 2-mile walk on easy trails near the Nature Center. Watch for birds and see if you can spot their homes camouflaged among the cacti and trees. Perhaps see a woodpecker popping into a hole in a saguaro or notice twigs in a cholla arranged by a curve-billed thrasher. The route will include Desert Hawk, Lost Sheep and Chain Fruit Trails. Binoculars are helpful but not required. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water, a hat and sunscreen. Meeting Location: Nature Center.

Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Usery Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 4 with your name, phone number and number attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.   Registration for this program will close on Tuesday, April 11.
