Join Ranger Derik on a 3-mile hike along the Black Rock Loop and Waterfall trails. Along the way to the “waterfall”, 1000-year-old petroglyphs will dot the landscape. We will also talk about the many native plant and animal species that call the White Tank Mountains home. The trails are graded as easy and remain relatively flat for the duration of the hike, but please wear sturdy shoes. Meet at the BlackRock Trailhead just across the street from the Area 4 parking lot. There are water fountains and bathrooms available at the Area 4 parking lot. Please no pets! The waterfall requires significant water/rainfall to run, so it may not be flowing at the time of this hike.
Limit 25 participants. To register, please call the White Tank Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 5. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 03/17/2023.
