Join the ranger for a one-mile walk on the easy terrain of Merkle Trail to learn the basics of our incredible Sonoran Desert – from the adaptations of plants and animals to how you can safely deal with summer heat and enjoy the benefits of summer storms. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Meet at Area 6 on the north side of Merkle.
