Look for nocturnal wildlife with Join Ranger Steve on an after-dark walk on the park trails! Click program title for more details.

Join Ranger Steve to look for and learn about the nocturnal animals on this guided hike. Wildlife we may see includes scorpions, spiders, insects, owls, nightjars, reptiles, and mammals! We will hike 1-2 miles roundtrip depending on heat and participant interest on the Roadrunner Trail. The hike will be easy, but occasionally there will be rocky or uneven terrain. Please bring your own flashlight or headlamp, carry your own ample water and electrolytes, and wear sturdy footwear. You might consider bringing a blacklight if you have one, but the ranger has one to point out scorpions with. The hike may be shortened if extreme heat is forecasted. Restrooms are located at the trailhead.
MEETING LOCATION: Lake Pleasant Discovery Center parking lot.
