Join Ranger Steve for a roughly 2.5 mile sunset/twilight hike on the easy terrain of the Spur Cross and Metate Trails. We’ll be searching for nocturnal Sonoran Desert wildlife such as snakes, scorpions, spiders, and more! Please wear hard-soled shoes or boots, bring plenty of water, and don’t forget a flashlight or UV light if you have one! Trails are rated easy, but there still may be some rocky and/or uneven terrain, though the hike is mostly flat. Restrooms are available at the trailhead, but water is not. Please bring your own. Please, no pets.
MEETING LOCATION: We’ll meet at the picnic tables adjacent to the restrooms at the Spur Cross Trailhead. Spur Cross Ranch Conservation area has an entry fee of $3 per person. Please bring cash and use a self-pay envelope as you enter the Park.
Limit 12 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending.
