Join Ranger Eric to look for and learn about the nocturnal animals on this guided hike. Wildlife we may see includes scorpions, spiders, insects, owls, nightjars, reptiles, and mammals! We will hike 1-2 miles roundtrip depending on heat and participant interest on the Rock Peak Wash Trail. The hike will be on easy, but sandy terrain of a desert wash. Please bring your own flashlight or headlamp, carry your own ample water and electrolytes, and wear sturdy footwear. You might consider bringing a blacklight if you have one, but the ranger has one to point out scorpions with. The hike may be shortened if extreme heat is forecasted. Please bring $7 exact CASH for the self-pay station or your annual pass.
