Clay Mine Tour (Registration Required, Limit 20 Participants)

Hike and mine tour which features a fascinating glimpse into Arizona’s past.

Join Ranger Kevin for a roughly 1.8-mile round-trip hike to the Clay Mine, site of a fortune made not of gold, but of snake oil. Program features a tour of the mine itself. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and bring water. We’ll meet at the Nature Center. Restrooms are available at the Nature Center. NO pets, please.

Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8. Please be sure you are registering for the 3 p.m. Clay Mine Tour. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 3/9/23.
