Camping with Atabey

Camping will be our first of many overnight outdoor adventures! We will learn the value of getting out in nature and “unplugging” – play games (in real life), sing camp songs, roast marshmallows and sleep outside under the stars – well, in a tent! We will be in Gilbert. Details to be shared upon registration. Attendance at ntro to camping required.

Atabey members will:

  • Learn camping terms and techniques

  • Learn to set up and break down Camp

  • Learn to build and tend a fire safely

  • Prepare their own meals

Discussion Topics:

  • Constellations

  • Resourcefulness

  • LNT Principles
