What makes a cactus a cactus? How can plants survive scorching temperatures? Can you eat Cactus? Get the answers to these questions on Ranger Evan’s Crazy for Cacti walk. We will be hiking approximately 3 miles, with some significant elevation changes. Please bring plenty of water and wear closed-toe shoes, no pets please. Restrooms will be available at the trailhead.

MEETING LOCATION: Picnic Tables at the trailhead kiosks Please note: Entry to Spur Cross Conservation Area is $3 per person. Annual Pass or CASH are accepted, and exact change is much appreciated. Payment can be made in iron rangers at Spur Cross parking lot nearby at end of road.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 05/11/23.
