This 1 1/2 to 2 hour walk circles our Black Canyon Heritage Park’s pond and pollinator gardens. The accessible nature path is approximately 1/2 mile in length with no elevation gain. We recommend that you wear closed-toed shoes, sun protection, and bring drinking water.

We’ll make frequent stops to observe and identify butterflies. Our leaders, Mel and John Dicus, will share their butterfly expertise with use. Best to bring your own close-focusing binoculars if possible. Other binoculars will work. We’ll have some loaners too.
