Join Ranger Eric for a guided 4.7-mile moderate-rated loop hike of the Rainbow Valley, Dysart, and Toothaker Trails while learning about the plants and animals of the Sonoran Desert ecosystem, with a special emphasis on late-spring wildflowers and butterflies. This spring is shaping up to have a good wildflower show in the desert due to the fall and winter rains! This is also the time of year when reptiles are emerging and birds are nesting, so there will be lots to look at! Parts of the trail will have uneven and rocky surfaces. Please wear protective clothing or sunblock, wear sturdy footwear, and carry ample water and snacks for yourself. MEETING LOCATION: West end of Trailhead Staging Area off of Arena Dr., at the Rainbow Valley Trailhead. See park map here: https://www.maricopacountyparks.net/assets/1/6/estrella-8×114.pdf
