Join Ranger Nikki on a 2-mile easy/moderate hike to look for cactus blooms and common spring pollinators – butterflies. You can learn about the MCPRD butterfly monitoring initiative and receive an identification handout to help with your own observations. The route includes Spur Cross and Metate Trails. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water, a hat and sunscreen. MEETING LOCATION: Main Trailhead at the map kiosk, covered seating area and Porta potties.

Please note: Entry to Spur Cross Conservation Area is $3 per person. Annual Pass or CASH are accepted, and exact change is appreciated.

Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on Wednesday, April 19.
