Come with us as we explore the streamside habitat of New River. This preserve is home to a lush riparian habitat that contains many tree species unique to the desert including cottonwoods, sycamore, walnuts, and more! We’ll search for the many bird species that call this place home.

This hike is approximately 1 mile in length, with no elevation gain. We recommend that you wear closed-toed shoes, sun protection, and bring drinking water. Also bring binoculars if you have them.

Since parking is limited, we will be meeting at the parking lot on New River Road and carpooling to the preserve.

Space is limited and registration is required. Join our email list to be notified when registration is open.
