Would you like to learn more about birdwatching and community science? Join Ranger Eric for a “Big Sit” style bird count in the front garden at the Visitor Center as we learn about birds and learn about community science, using eBird. We will discuss basic bird identification tips and counting methods. Bird feeders are located throughout the garden, offering close looks at birds. Some binoculars are available to borrow. This program is geared towards all physical abilities and ages. We have benches and folding chairs available to set around the garden. MEETING LOCATION: Visitor Center garden. Please check in at the Visitor Center, then we will go together down to one of the large mulberries by the start of the trails to see what birds are coming in.

Limit 15 participants. To register, please call the Visitor Center at 602-506-2930 ext. 9. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Visitor Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on Thursday, 5/4/23.
