The ATA VETS Program and Tonto National Forest Service are excited to announce the First Annual VETS Backpacking Trip near the Arizona Trail Gateway Community of Pine, AZ! The VETS crew will be hiking into Oak Spring Canyon and camping on the trail in an effort to build a reroute section on Passage 25, named “View Switchback”. Unlike previous VETS events, we will be carrying everything required to be self-sufficient for the entire hitch. This will provide each participant with a unique opportunity to reconnect with themselves, one another, and the land.
