C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation
Arizona is proud to participate in this National Foundation’s award-winning efforts to help strengthen local communities through the sport of recreational fishing. Our focus is on enriching the lives of special-needs children ages 6-18+ who face special physical, mental or economic challenges in life. The Arizona C.A.S.T. for Kids event is a morning at Lake Pleasant. Registered kids enjoy fishing and boating with experienced Captains who volunteer their time and boat. Each child must be accompanied by an adult family member, caregiver or guardian.
Nationwide, C.A.S.T. for Kids will host more than 100 events in 2024, benefitting about 10,000 kids. Both will be new records! The next Lake Pleasant event is March 3, 2024, at Pleasant Harbor Marina & RV Resort. It will be our 23rd event at Lake Pleasant. We expect a full complement of 50 kids, 60 Boat Captains and 40-50 or more Shore Volunteers.
We rely entirely on local Sponsors to fund or provide in-kind donations of everything needed to give the kids a fabulous day. Our budget for this year’s event is $25,000 in funding and donated products and services.
