Kara first joined Be Outdoors Arizona in 2015 and has been at the helm since 2019. She resides in Phoenix and spends as much time as possible immersed in nature at her White Mountain Lake cabin.

Kara has 20+ years of experience in sales and marketing and a passion for outdoor recreation and wildlife conservation. She is an  member of The Arizona Predator Callers, on the steering committee of the The Hunting and Angling Heritage Workgroup, board member and social media manager of the Arizona Sportsmen for Wildlife Conservation and spent 6 years as the Marketing Director of The Arizona Antelope Foundation and currently managing the website of the Arizona Desert Bighorn Sheep Society.

Kara is driven by her passion for the cause and her extensive industry experience to help our sponsors and advertisers gain maximum exposure. She was awarded Marketing Agency of the Year in 2018 by the Arizona Small Business Association.

How We Got Started

For decades, there have been countless organizations throughout Arizona dedicated to getting children reconnected with nature. These stand-alone programs provide one-off experiences, but they don’t encourage continuous, diverse forms of outdoor engagement. We’re left with hundreds of disconnected programs, which makes it difficult for families to continue exploring new experiences.

Our goal: To create an organization that brings all these programs together, creating a calendar that offers a centralized resource for outdoor programs AND resources such as respected retailers to supply the goods and services this community needs! (that means YOU, business owner, so call us now!)
