This weeks Featured Partner is the Arizona Deer Association!

The Arizona Deer Association (ADA) is a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to improving habitat and expanding Arizona’s mule deer and Coues’ deer herds.

To fulfill our mission, we raise funds from members, the public, and private sources.  These funds support projects, education, and programs that directly benefit Arizona’s deer herds and their habitat.

We are especially proud of our work hosting an annual youth deer and cow elk camp for the next generation of hunters and their families.  We provide meals, mentors and a group campsite for sharing stories at the end of the day.  The kids learn all about hunting plus, ethics, responsibility, cooperation and respect. We host this camp each year in the northern portion of Unit 23 and our Buckskin Chapter hosts a camp on the Kaibab Plateau in Unit 12.

We are also proud of the work we put into providing water throughout the state to benefit all of Arizona’s deer.  Our volunteers haul water in the drier months.  They also put in countless hours all year long rebuilding and repairing water catchments and tanks.  Many of our water projects also include converting old windmills with solar powered water pumps.
