Introduction to Upland Bird Hunting for women and youth is for experienced shotgun athletes. This is not a program to provide shotgun shooting instruction.
Experienced shotgun shooters will learn from mentors how to hunt pheasants and chukars with the use of bird dogs. It consists of three hunting groups with three hunters each, and each group will have a mentor/hunting guide with bird dogs. Hunts will take place on farm fields, typically alfalfa.
Each hunting group will be on fields from 9 AM – 12 noon, with a group lunch at conclusion. Following lunch will be instruction on how to clean the taken game birds; however, most of the birds will be cleaned by the professionals at the hunting club. All game meat will be dispersed among the groups, including instructions for cooking.
Registration is required for each person in the party attending the event due to capacity and resources.
You must cancel your registration before Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 8:00am CST.
