Want to get a great workout in? Want to learn about wildlife while hiking? If the answer to those questions is yes, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Come hike through the desert with Ranger Evan to see and learn about the unique plants and animals that call the Sonoran Desert home. This hike is moderate to difficult with decent change in elevation. We will be hiking dragon fly loop to the spur cross trail (3.5 miles). Please meet for the hike at the covered picnic tables just past the entry station. There is no water at the trailhead so please bring your own. Please no pets. We will meet at the trailhead next to the large sunshade and restrooms at 2:00pm. Please remember that Spur Cross Ranch Conservation area has a $3 per person entry fee, and we can only accept cash. Limited amounts of change may be available, but please bring exact change if possible. Limit 20 participants. If you are unable to attend the hike, please email back as soon as possible to those on the wait list can be added to the hike. Registration deadline: 03/16/23.
