The Sonoran Desert is home to over 2,000 species of plants. Many of these are used as food, medicine, clothing, tools, and building materials. On this half-mile hike, take a trip to the “Desert Supermarket” and discover the bounty of your own backyard! Get a chance to taste desert delicacies like prickly pear candy, mesquite flour cookies, and agave nectar. Limit 15 participants. Please call the Nature Center to reserve your spot.
