DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Tumamoc Hill Youth Program! \nThis free monthly program invites youth and families to explore the natural and cultural history of the Sonoran Desert through hands-on learning\, creativity\, and fun. Each month features a new theme\, guest speaker\, and art activity\, making every session a fresh experience. \n🌵 Theme: Ethnobotany of the Southwest \nLearn how plants have been used for food\, medicine\, and daily life by Indigenous and local cultures for generations. Youth will enjoy a short\, engaging science presentation by Alex La Pierre (Borderlandia)\, followed by a creative art activity—play clay printmaking with local artist Aubrey Behrens. This interactive program blends science and art to spark curiosity and appreciation for desert plants. \n🧒👧 This program is designed to be kid-friendly and family-welcoming\, making it a great opportunity for young learners to connect with nature and culture in an accessible way. \n📍 Location: Tumamoc Hill Boathouse (base of the Hill)1675 W.
