These walks are for everyone: experts\, novices\, and people who have never gone birding in their entire life. \n\nBring water\, and wear sunscreen and shoes for walking.\nGroups usually travel slowly\, over varying terrain including cement sidewalks\, gravel paths\, and dirt trails. Participants should expect to walk between 1-2 miles total.\nBinoculars and field guides are available to borrow.\nPlease meet inside the Nina Mason Pulliam Rio Salado Audubon Center at least 5–10 minutes prior to the 8 a.m. departure time.\nRestroom facilities will be available for use at the center.\nThis event is FREE\, although donations to support educational programs are always appreciated. DESCRIPTION:WMG’s Living Lab is our demonstration site of hydro-local living and watershed resilience\, as well as our office space. The campus is supported by rainwater for all indoor and outdoor needs almost year-round\, and includes extensive rain gardens\, a native food forest\, a 10\,000 gallon underground cistern\, art exhibits about Tucson’s history of flowing creeks and rivers\, a kids’ play area\, composting toilets\, and so much more. You’ll be led through our demonstration site by one of our Docents to learn about our many water harvesting systems firsthand.
