SUMMARY:Habitat Project | Apache Maid Fence Project
DESCRIPTION:Fence Project July 25-27th \nApache Maid which is near Stoneman Lake in unit 6A we’ll be building a logworm fence. \nCome join us for the weekend! \nArizona Elk Society does amazing work in the forest whether it be building a fence\, fixing a water catchment\, clearing trees or reworking the land. \nOur goal is to benefit elk and with that many others benefit as well. Our projects normally run Friday thru Sunday.\nWe set up a group campsite where everyone can set up their tent or trailer and we’ll set up our kitchen. We’ll feed all volunteers for the duration of the project. \nWe have lots of different volunteers opportunities on these projects. All ages and abilities are welcome. Yes there will be manual labor work but we also need help cooking\, making sure paperwork is filled out\, driving the ranger with materials and more.\nThese are great opportunities to spend the weekend in the woods and give back. Grab your friends or family and come on out! \nPlease email Russ with questions russj@arizonaelksociety.org
