DESCRIPTION:Join us for a butterfly walk in the xeriscape garden surrounding the San Pedro House.  We’ll take our time and stroll through the garden looking for butterflies and other pollinators.  The entire walk will be in the garden so the distance covered will be minimal\, but it will still be sunny and hot so wear a hat and bring some water.  The walk will last an hour or so.  Binoculars are a must and bring your camera too if you have one. We’ll meet right in front of the San Pedro House front porch.  The San Pedro House is located 7 miles east of Sierra Vista on Highway 90\, on the southside of the highway.  It is searchable in Google Maps.  For more information call 520-508-4445 or email fspr@sanpedroriver.org.

DESCRIPTION:What: Join us for our inaugural meetup in this area! \n\n\nThis is a gentle 2.8-mile out-and-back hike with lots of shaded areas that takes about 1-1.5 hours round trip. \n\n\nIf the group wants\, we can continue on from there onto the Upper Miller Trail up to the Palmerlee ruins\, or we can turn around and call it a day. \n\n\nHow to find us: We will meet at the Lower Miller parking area and take the Lower Miller Canyon Trail #172 to the upper parking area. \n\n\nWe will determine the day before if the event needs to be canceled or postponed due to weather. If we have to cancel\, please check your email and/or text! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhere: Miller Canyon Lower Parking \n\n\nWhat to Bring: Bring water (none on site)\, sunscreen\, snacks\, and a lunch if you want to enjoy a picnic after we hike or at the ruins. Dogs are welcome on the trails\, but must remain on leash. There are vault toilets at the parking area.
