DESCRIPTION:Join a ranger on a ~1 mile\, mostly paved\, walk through some of the most biodiverse terrain in central Arizona. A combination of plant communities and habitats surrounding the world’s largest travertine bridge supports a wide variety of bird species that call the park home and we will be searching for. Meets between the Waterfall Parking and Waterfall Trailhead. SUMMARY:Family Workshop: All About Bird Nests
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun and educational family workshop where we learn how birds create nests of various sizes and shapes! Discover the strategies birds use to build nests that withstand rough weather and protect them from predators. We will also create our own nests using sticks and other materials we find in the garden\, ensuring they are durable against weather and predators. \n¡Únase a nosotros en un taller familiar divertido y educativo donde aprenderemos cómo las aves crean nidos de varios tamaños y formas! Descubra las estrategias que utilizan las aves para construir nidos que resistan las inclemencias del tiempo y las protejan de los depredadores. También crearemos nuestros propios nidos utilizando palos y otros materiales que encontremos en el jardín\, asegurándonos de que sean resistentes a la intemperie y a los depredadores. \nProgram Details: \n\nThis program will happen both indoors at the Rio Salado Audubon Center classroom\, as well as outdoors in the garden (weather permitting).\nThe Center and garden area are all handicapped accessible\, flat terrain.
