DESCRIPTION:Red Rock State Park offers a 1½–2-hour guided hike exploring the ancient Sinagua culture (1100–1425 AD) and other Native American groups who once lived and traveled in the area. SUMMARY:History Walk\, Grand Central Mill
DESCRIPTION:Take a walk to the ruins of the historic Grand Central Mill.  During the Tombstone silver boom\, this stamp mill operated 24 hours a day\, processing ore brought from Tombstone by wagons.  Learn about the mining history of the area during a three-mile round trip walk to the mill site. This walk follows an uneven dirt and gravel trail. Please realistically assess your ability to do this walk. There is limited shade\, and it will be hot on sunny days. Wear a hat\, sun protection\, appropriate clothing\, and sturdy shoes. Bring water and snacks. \nAll walks are free\, no reservations required. Participants must sign a liability waiver before the walk starts. This tour meets at the Fairbank Townsite\, which is along Highway 82\, 10.0 miles east of the Highway82/90 intersection in Whetstone. The entrance to the parking area is on the north side of the highway about 0.5 mile east of the San Pedro River bridge. SUMMARY:History Walk to Murray Springs
DESCRIPTION:Join docents from the Friends of the San Pedro River for a tour of the Murray Springs mammoth kill site. Discovered by Dr. C. Vance Haynes from the University of Arizona in 1966\, Murray Springs contained not only fossils from mammoth killed by the prehistoric Clovis people\, but also projectile points and a bone tool believed to be used to straighten spear shafts. This is an easy walk of less than a half mile\, though it does include dirt steps into and out of a dry wash. Please realistically assess your ability to do this walk. The walk is free; reservations are not required. Participants must sign a liability waiver before the walk starts. From E. Highway 90/AZ-90 in Sierra Vista\, drive north on Moson Rd. for 1.28 miles and turn east.  Meet the docent at the gate to the site. The entrance to the site is searchable as “Murray Springs Clovis Site” in Google Maps.
