DESCRIPTION:Join Sonoran Audubon Society for a birding field trip to Mingus Mountain\, near Prescott. Group starts about 5am from Scottsdale\, possibly with quick stops on the way\, then explores several stops through the pine forest looking for nuthatches\, forest-dwelling woodpeckers and flycatchers\, plus summer warblers\, tanagers and vireos. Wraps up with a picnic lunch and returns to the Phoenix area around 3pm. Easy difficulty (1)\, limited to 7 participants. Logistics to be decided a few days before the trip. DESCRIPTION:Watch expert trainiers work with beautiful raptors such as a Red Tail Hawk\, Turkey Vulture\, Eurasian Eagle Owl\, and Aplomado Falcon.\nEvents are held indoors most days\, and outside in our patio when the weather permits.\nPlease arrive at least 15 minutes early. Doors are closed and locked at 3PM.\nTickets are available online on this web site under the Raptor Show menu.\nSeating is limited. No pets are allowed in the display space.\nRaptors may fly within the guest seating area\, so guests are encouraged to stay seated and not enter or exit without staff assistance once the exhibition has started.\nPhotography is encouraged. Long lenses and telephotos are not helpful as the birds fly within feet of the audience.
